ESA confirmed in final Programme for Government
The creation of the Education and Skills Authority has been confirmed in the recently agreed Northern Ireland Executive Programme for Government 2008-11. Set out under the Key Priority: Deliver modern high quality and efficient public services, the commitment states “Establish a Library Authority and an Education and Skills Authority by 2009.”
This is further evidence of the importance the Executive attaches to the successful delivery of the new organisation and adds impetus to work now being undertaken to design its services.
